Z-Corp extends support to Sharas Coast Sports Team

Muscat: Showcasing its commitment to promoting sports across the country, Zubair Corporation (Z-Corp) has extended its support to Sharas Coast Sports Team in Musannah. Z-Corp has been supporting various clubs that encourage young Omanis to take up sports and supporting this team is part of that strategy.
Sharas Coast Sports Team has been encouraging aspiring sportspersons to take up sports and helping established sportsmen to excel in their chosen sports. As part of the support extended, Z-Corp will aid Sharas Coast Sports Team to organise team activities, participate in tournaments, help in weeding, and improve facilities at the local playground.
Ibrahim Al Salmi, Social Communication manager at The Zubair Corporation said, “Z-Corp has played a key role in sponsoring and developing sports in the Sultanate by supporting professional and amateur sports organisation, sports clubs and competitions. We have a strong commitment to supporting sports team, clubs and organisations across the Sultanate. We believe in supporting those who create opportunities for youngsters. We are pleased to contribute to developing sports teams such as Sharas, which help identify new talents. We hope they will cultivate new talents and encourage them to participate in local competitions. We are happy that they lay special emphasis on promoting sports, planning and carrying out community-based activities. We are happy to support the team to practice various sport and cultural activities.”
Sharas Coast Sports Team, which was established in 1970, has contributed to the growth of sports in Musannah and surrounding areas. It has also assisted Omani youth to improve their sporting skills. The team has many achievements and accolades to its credit.
Majid bin Abdullah Al Baloushi of Sharas Coast Sports Team said: "We thank Z-Corp for its categorical support for the team. This support will help will inspire and encourage young Omani talents to take up sports. It will also encourage them to participate in the competition held both at governorate and national levels.”
He added, “With the support of Z-Corp we can develop our local playground and add new facilities which will create a suitable environment for players and develop their skills. Sharas, one of the oldest sports teams, has played an important role in the increasing the popularity of sports and conducting many cultural and community activities.”
