Three held over fraud, attempted theft charges in Oman

Muscat: Three Omanis have been arrested by the Department of Inquiries and Investigations in Dhofar for fraud and attempted theft.
A senior official at the ROP said, “We arrested one of the alleged suspects as he was with a victim, claiming that he works for a charity acquiring land to distribute to the needy.”
“He also hired some people and said he would pay them from the money of the victims. Meanwhile, we also apprehended two others for planning a robbery from vehicles,” the ROP official added.
The accused were referred to the public prosecution for further investigations.
