Sohar: More than OMR13,000 has been reimbursed to a consumer following a complaint made against a car dealership in Sohar.
The Department of Consumer Protection in Sohar received a complaint from a consumer against a car dealership after a customer bought a brand new vehicle with several technical faults.
The customer reported that the vehicle started shaking when driven at speed. The vehicle also veered from its path when the brakes were applied. In addition, the gear wasn’t functioning well.
After investigations, the PACP found that the vehicle was not manufactured properly.
The person responsible at the car dealership was summoned and faced with the complaint after which an agreement was reached to return the vehicle while the consumer got his full OMR13,025 that he paid refunded.
