Muscat: An e-training programme for the civil service sector was launched by Sheikh Khalid bin Omar Al Marhoon, Minister of Civil Service yesterday.
The programme has been designed and developed as per the latest standards.
On the sidelines of the launching ceremony, the Minister of Civil Service said that the program is a qualitative leap for the training of the civil service sector as it allows training without being absence of work.
It also ensures the selection of best training programmes that meet needs of employees and their organisations. It also reduces cost and effort of the training progress.
On his part, Sayyid Salim bin Musallam Al-Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Civil Service for Administrative Development Affairs said in a statement that the project is one of the development projects adopted by the Ministry of Civil Service in a bid to enhance the human resources in the Sultanate.
He added that the e-training program, which took two years of development, contributes to reducing cost and time and involved Omanis in the implementation of the project.
