HM the Sultan, President of UAE hold meeting in Abu Dhabi

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik paid a private fraternal visit today to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), during which he held a meeting with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, at Al Shati Palace in Abu Dhabi.

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed the course of historic bilateral relations and the shared ties between the two fraternal countries, as well as ways to enhance and develop them across various fields to serve mutual interests and fulfill the aspirations of the peoples of both countries.

The two leaders also exchanged views on various matters of mutual interest and discussed regional and international developments, along with ways to achieve security and stability.

Alongside His Majesty the Sultan, the meeting was attended by HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, HH Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of State and Governor of Muscat, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu'mani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, Eng. Said bin Hamoud Al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, Dr. Sultan bin Yarub Al Busaidi, Advisor at the Private Office and Sayyid Dr. Ahmed bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Arab Emirates.

Meanwhile, it was attended from the Emirati side by Sheikh Suroor bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of finance, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, Sheikh Zayed bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nayan, Sheikh Mohammed bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Sultanate of Oman and several officials.

The UAE President led the welcoming and farewell party for His Majesty the Sultan at the Presidential Airport in Abu Dhabi, accompanied by a number of senior officials.
