India’s EAM S Jaishankar to visit Oman, Gulf States from July 5

Muscat: India's External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar will undertake an official visit to Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman from July 5 to 10, during which he will hold talks with his counterparts and the leadership of the four countries, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said on Saturday.

According to the MEA, the visit will focus on strengthening bilateral relations with the Gulf nations and provide an opportunity to exchange views on regional developments and issues of mutual interest.

Following the Gulf tour, Jaishankar will travel to New York to launch India’s official campaign for its candidature for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council for the 2028-29 term on July 13.

He will then visit Brussels on July 14 and 15 to participate in the third India-European Union Trade and Technology Council meeting and hold interactions with his counterparts from the European Union and Belgium, the MEA said.
