Indian passenger dies after medical emergency on Abu Dhabi–Bengaluru flight

New Delhi: A 51-year-old Indian national from the state of Kerala died after suffering a sudden medical emergency aboard a flight traveling from Abu Dhabi to Bengaluru.

The passenger, identified as Yousafe Kunhammu, reportedly became unwell during the journey and collapsed despite immediate assistance from the cabin crew. Emergency procedures were activated, and medical aid was provided onboard, but efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.

The airline coordinated with airport medical authorities upon landing and followed standard emergency response protocols throughout the incident. Authorities are treating the death as a natural medical emergency, with no indications of foul play.

The incident underscores the potential health risks associated with air travel, particularly for passengers with underlying or undiagnosed medical conditions.
