
Muscat: Abdulsalam Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority (OIA), received at his office on Monday a delegation from the Russian Federation headed by Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed prospects for joint action, as well as promising investment potentials and opportunities aligned with the priorities of both the Sultanate of Oman and the Russian Federation. They also discussed existing areas of cooperation between the two countries in priority vital sectors, and ways to enhance partnership in key investment fields, most notably energy, infrastructure, logistics, food security and information technology.
Furthermore, the two parties addressed the importance of expanding the scope of economic and investment cooperation, and strengthening the role of both the public and private sectors, in a manner that contributes to achieving economic integration and supports sustainable development efforts in both nations.
The meeting underscored the importance of reinforcing economic and investment partnerships between the two countries, opening new horizons for fruitful cooperation and advancing mutual interests.
The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Sultanate of Oman, along with a number of officials from Oman Investment Authority and chief executives of several companies affiliated with the Authority.
