Oman beach football team advances to Asian Games semi-finals

Sanya: Oman national beach football team has advanced to the semi-finals of the 6th Asian Beach Games, following a 4–1 victory over the host nation, China, in a match held as part of the second round of the competition.

The goals for the Omani national team were scored by Abdullah Al Salti, Fahad Al Mashikhi, Khalid Al Alawi, and Muslim Al Alawi, while China's goal was scored by Chen Ziying.

In beach handball, the Omani national team achieved two consecutive victories, defeating Bangladesh 2–0 and continuing their strong performance by beating Jordan by the same scoreline in the same round of matches.

The Omani team is scheduled to face Pakistan on Monday in a decisive match to determine their chances of advancing to the second round, pending the results of other teams in the group.

The Omani team had opened their campaign with a 2–0 victory over Mongolia, before suffering two defeats, both by a score of 0–2, against Qatar and Thailand respectively.
