
Muscat : His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received at Al Barakah Palace today President Duma Gideon Boko of the Republic of Botswana, on the occasion of his working visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
At the outside of the meeting, His Majesty the Sultan welcomed the President and his accompanying delegation, wishing them a pleasant stay and fruitful visit. On his turn, the President expressed his profound delight over this visit.
Then, a session of official talks was held, chaired by His Majesty the Sultan and the President of Botswana. During the talks, the two sides explored avenues of cooperation between the two countries across various fields, with a view to achieving their mutual interests.
The session was attended from the Omani side by HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance, Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office, Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority, Eng. Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, Mulhim bin Basheer Al Jaraf, Deputy Chairman of Oman Investment Authority for Investment and Muneer bin Ali Al Muneeri, Deputy Chairman of Oman Investment Authority for Operation.
Meanwhile, it was attended from the Botswana side by the Head of Military Intelligence Adviser to the President on Military Affairs, the Minister of Presidential Investments, the Special Representative of the President and a number of officials.
It is worth mentioning that the President of the Republic of Botswana arrived in the Sultanate of Oman last night. He was received upon arrival at the VIP hall of Muscat International Airport by the Chairman of Oman Investment Authority, along with several officials.
