Israeli attacks kill almost 90 in Lebanon after ceasefire announcement

Beirut: Almost 90 people were killed in Israeli strikes on Lebanon on Monday, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry, cited by Reuters news agency.

A spokesperson for the ministry said the Israeli attacks across the country had killed "89 ‌martyrs ​and wounded 700 people."

The spokesperson added that 12 medics were among those killed.

The AFP news agency cited similar numbers, saying 89 were killed and 722 were wounded.
