Thunderstorms bring rainfall to parts of Oman, authorities issue safety advisory

Muscat: Unstable weather conditions continue to affect several parts of the Sultanate, with cumulonimbus cloud formations extending across Muscat Governorate, South Al Batinah, and parts of North Al Batinah, bringing rainfall of varying intensity.

According to weather updates, the cloud activity is expected to persist, increasing the likelihood of thunderstorms in these regions.

Authorities have urged residents to remain cautious during this period, warning of potential hazards associated with thunderstorms. These include reduced horizontal visibility, possible hail, and the flow of wadis and valleys, which can pose risks to motorists and residents in low-lying areas.
