Iran describes talks with the United States in Geneva as serious

Tehran– Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, confirmed that good progress was achieved on the nuclear file and the lifting of sanctions during yesterday’s negotiations with the American side, describing the talks as the most serious to date.

He stated that both sides reached agreement on certain points, while differences remain on others. Abbas Araghchi affirmed that the Iranian delegation clearly presented its demands during the discussions.

He added that technical-level talks are scheduled for next Monday to address specialized details, noting that the next round of negotiations could be held next week following consultations with the leadership in both countries.

Abbas Araghchi emphasised that Iran has clarified its positions regarding the lifting of US and UN Security Council sanctions and the necessary steps required in this regard.

He stressed that both the United States and Iran are more serious than ever about reaching a diplomatic solution, explaining that the upcoming talks in Vienna aim to establish a technical framework that meets the demands of both sides.
