Muscat: The Foreign Ministry has expressed the Sultanate of Oman’s welcome of the efforts led by U.S. President Donald Trump to consolidate the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and to implement the peace plan adopted by the United Nations Security Council under Resolution No. 2803.
In a statement, the ministry reaffirmed Oman’s firm support for the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, in accordance with international legitimacy and relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
The statement emphasized the importance of developing a clear and well-defined roadmap, along with a specific timeline, to ensure the effective implementation of the two-state solution. Such steps, the ministry noted, are essential to consolidating the foundations of security and stability in the region and enabling a transition toward a sustainable phase of peaceful coexistence, reconstruction, and prosperous economic development.
The Sultanate of Oman reiterated its commitment to supporting international efforts aimed at achieving a just and comprehensive peace that safeguards the rights of the Palestinian people and contributes to long-term regional stability.
