The Embassy of the Republic of Korean in the Sultanate of Oman hosted “Korea-Oman Friendship Night,” a cultural exchange event at the Madinat Seoul Hall in the Embassy’s premises on December 4, 2025, inviting Omani fans of Korean culture and the Korean expatriate community members.
The event highlighted growing exchanges between the two countries in language education and training. A good number of Korean students take Arabic courses in Korean and Omani universities. Increasing number of Omani people are learning Korean language. The exchanges enrich cultural understanding and friendship between the two peoples. Several Omani Korean learners presented their language skills, and these participants were awarded prizes.
The event also celebrated the 9th anniversary of OK-Nuri, which is an Omani fan club of Korean culture. O and K represents Oman and Korea, respectively. The fan club has contributed to promoting people-to-people exchanges between the two countries by bringing Omani and Korean cultural features together so that the two peoples may appreciate and enjoy the rich, time-honored cultural heritages of the two countries.
The Embassy will continue to engage with Omani and Korean communities to further foster mutual friendship and partnership. Building on the exchanges, the 51-year-old diplomatic relations will continue to progress, embracing political, economic and trade, and cultural fields.
