
The Hague— The Sultanate of Oman participated today in the 30th session of the Conference of the States Parties to the Chemical Weapons Convention, held in The Hague, Kingdom of the Netherlands. The conference, which runs until 28 November 2025, sees broad participation from member states and representatives of relevant international organizations.
The Sultanate of Oman’s delegation was headed by Sheikh Abdullah Salim Al Harthy, Oman's Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands and its Permanent Representative to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW).
Oman's participation in this conference reaffirms its steadfast commitment to supporting international efforts aimed at enhancing international peace and security. It also reiterates its firm stance towards the full and effective implementation of the provisions of the Chemical Weapons Convention. Furthermore, this participation highlights Oman's keenness to promote technical cooperation and capacity building with the OPCW and its States Parties, contributing to the achievement of the Convention's objectives and ensuring a world free from the chemical threat.
