Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, has issued a special royal pardon for a number of prisoners convicted in various cases.
An official source from the Royal Oman Police stated that the number of inmates who were granted the royal pardon is 341, including both Omani and foreign nationals.
The pardon comes on the occasion of the Prophet's Birthday (Mawlid al-Nabi) 1447 AH, and out of consideration for their families.
