Muscat: Political consultation talks between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Yemen were held today in Muscat.
The Omani side was headed by Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, while the Yemeni side was led by Dr. Mansour Ali Bajash, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs.
During the session, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations and discussed means of enhancing cooperation in economic and trade exchange, as well as matters related to travel and communication between the two countries.
The two sides also exchanged views on the latest developments in the Yemeni crisis and explored ways to resume the peace process, aiming for a just and comprehensive solution that serves the interests of all parties without exception. Additionally, they addressed regional issues of mutual concern.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador Sheikh Ahmed Hashil Al Maskari, Head of the GCC and Regional Neighbourhood Department at the Foreign Ministry, Dr. Khaled Saleh Shateef, Yemen’s accredited ambassador to Oman, and several officials from both sides.
