Muscat: Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, on Thursday received Dr. Fuad Hussein, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq.
Sayyid Badr and Dr. Fuad discussed various aspects of cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Iraq with a view to securing common interests and achieving greater benefits for the peoples of the two countries.
The two ministers also discussed regional and international developments. They stressed the need to continue coordination and consultation to support all efforts to consolidate regional security, stability and peace through peaceful solutions, dialogue, diplomacy and respect the sovereignty of countries and the principles of international law.
The meeting was attended by Qais Saad Al Amri, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Sultanate of Oman, and other officials from the two countries.
