Muscat: This week, the KNVB (Royal Netherlands Football Association) and Nasmo organized the WorldCoaches program in Oman.
The pioneering initiative brought together 25 young, talented football coaches for a dynamic coaching course designed not only to improve their football expertise but also to equip them with essential professional skills, including cooperation, communication, and planning.
As part of the program, the participants honed their newfound skills by organizing training sessions for younger children, sharing their passion for the sport with the next generation.
The week-long program culminated in a football tournament on Thursday, January 23, held at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex. The event showcased the participants' growth and impact, drawing smiles and excitement from players and spectators alike. During the closing ceremony, the participants were recognized for their achievements and dedication, with each coach receiving an official WorldCoaches certificate to mark their successful completion of the program.
This visit by the KNVB to Oman is part of the celebration of 400 years of maritime connection between Oman and the Netherlands, reflecting a long-standing relationship between the two nations.
