Muscat : The Special Economic Zone Authority at Duqm (SEZAD) is making continuous efforts to increase green spaces and educate companies operating in Duqm about the importance of afforestation, which contributes to enhancing environmental development.
This comes through organising events related to planting a number of trees throughout the region, as the "Casuarina" planting event was organised as part of the activities celebrating Oman Agriculture Day 2024.
The event aimed to enhance the green area and environmental development in the region with the support of OQ Gas Networks and Marafiq Central, with the participation of students from Al Saad International School and employees of government and private entities in Duqm, in the presence of the CEO of the region.
The region's management announced that it has achieved a completion rate exceeding 85 percent of its ambitious plan to plant 5,000 trees during the current year, stressing its commitment to reaching the full goal before the end of the year.
