Over 1,200 expats deported from Oman in May

Muscat: More than 1, 200 expats have been deported for various violations from the Sultanate of Oman during May 2024, said the Ministry of Labour (Mol). 

The Ministry of Labour, represented by the Office of the Joint Inspection Team in the General Directorate of Labour Welfare, and with the support of the Inspection Unit of the Security and Safety Services Corporation, arrested 1,725 ​​workers and deported 1,260 workers during the month of May 2024.

 The Ministry is intensifying its inspection campaigns on establishments operating in the private sector and the expatriate workforce in all governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, with the aim of regulating the labour market in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
