His Majesty accorded an official reception at Rashtrapati Bhavan Palace in New Delhi

Muscat: An official reception ceremony was held for His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, this morning at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Palace in the Indian capital ⁧‫of New Delhi‬⁩ on the occasion of a “state” visit by His Majesty to the Republic.

After that, souvenir photos were taken for His Majesty the Sultan, Her Excellency the Indian President, and His Excellency the Indian Prime Minister.

Then His Majesty the Sultan headed to the podium of honour, where the Omani Royal Anthem and the Indian national anthem were played. After that, the King of the country inspected the guard of honour, which was lined up to greet His Majesty.

When the procession carrying His Majesty the Sultan entered the gate of the Presidential Palace, a group of knights escorted the procession and artillery fired twenty-one rounds in salute to His Majesty. Immediately upon the motorcade’s arrival at the courtyard of the Presidential Palace, Her Excellency President Droupadi Murmu, President of the Republic of India, and Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of the Republic of India, were present. Introductions were made and people were seen wishing His Majesty and his accompanying official delegation a pleasant stay.

After that, His Majesty the Sultan shook hands with his senior recipients from the Indian side.
While Her Excellency the Indian President and His Excellency the Indian Prime Minister shook hands with members of the official delegation accompanying His Majesty.

At the conclusion of the official reception ceremony, a memorial photo was released documenting the historic visit of the country’s monarch.
