Muscat: Five expats have been arrested by the Royal Oman Police (ROP), for engaging in unethical acts and for violating the labour and residence laws in Al Dhahirah Governorate.
"The Al Dhahirah Governorate Police Command arrested five expatriates, including three women, on charges of committing acts contrary to public morals, violating the labour and the residence laws of foreigners in a residence in the Wilayat of Ibri. The legal procedures were completed against them, " ROP said in a statement.

Expats arrested for human trafficking
A group of expats were arrested by the Royal Oman Police (ROP), on charges of human trafficking in Al Buraimi Governorate.
"The Al Buraimi Governorate Police Command arrests a group of expatriates of Asian nationality on charges of human trafficking by luring a number of victims and coercing them to carry out acts contrary to public morals. The legal procedures are completed against them, " ROP said in a statement.
