Muscat: With the participation of more than 15 girl guides from various governorates of the Sultanate, the Oman Challenge programme has begun in the Wilayat of Jabal Al Akhdar.
The activities of the Oman Challenge programme for the advanced female guides stage began, today, in the Wilayate of Oman Challenge programme kicks off in Jabal Al Akhdar, with the participation of 17 advanced female guides from various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, and it will continue until the 13th of July.
The programme, which is organised by the Directorate General of Scouts and Girl Guides in cooperation with the Oman Challenge Corporation, includes many activities and events such as: mountain walks, expeditions and various skills aimed at solving problems, in addition to panel discussions and dialogues with participants about the health and safety of the environment.
The programme aims to provide participants with teamwork skills, the basics of planning and time management, as well as developing life skills, leadership, problem-solving, planning, communication, self-confidence and managing available resources.
It is worth noting that the Oman Challenge Programme is one of the partnership programmes that have been activated between the Directorate General of Scouts and Girl Guides and the Oman Challenge Corporation.
