It indicated that heavy rain will start from tomorrow evening, Wednesday, in the governorates of Musandam, Al Dhahirah, Al Buraimi and North Al Batinah, and will gradually extend to the rest of the governorates.
It stated that sporadic rains of varying intensity, ranging from 10 to 60 millimeters, are expected, leading to runoff in valleys and reefs.
The meteorologists warned of active winds, with speeds ranging between 15 and 40 knots (28 - 74 km/h), which may lead to the flying of unstable materials as well as dust storms, and the rise of sea waves from medium to rough on most coasts of the Sultanate of Oman, with a maximum height ranging two to three meters long.
It also expected a noticeable decrease in temperatures in most of the Sultanate’s governorates, especially the mountains, with the possibility of frost formation.
