8 unlicensed boats seized

Muscat: The fisheries control team seized 8 boats and a truck loaded with unlicensed drift fishing nets.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources said: "The Fisheries Control Team in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, in cooperation with the Royal Oman Police, managed to seize 8 boats without a license and a truck loaded with unlicensed enclosure nets prepared for use in the Wilayat of Jalan Bani Bu Ali. The truck and equipment were seized and legal procedures are underway."
