ROP arrests person for illegal entry, possessing drugs in Oman

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested a foreigner for entering the Sultanate of Oman illegally. More than 12 kilograms of morphine and over 10 kilograms of crystal were found with the accused.

"The Directorate General for Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substances has arrested an infiltrator who illegally entered the country by sea with more than 12 kilograms of morphine and more than 10 kilograms of crystal drug," ROP said in a statement.

In another incident, North Al Sharqiyah Governorate Police Command arrested a driver of a vehicle in an abnormal condition as a result of drug abuse. Various types of psychotropic substances were seized from his possession.
