Muscat: A control team seized five artisanal fishing vessels in Al Wusta Governorate for violating marine fishing laws.
The Directorate General of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources in Al Wusta Governorate said: "The fisheries control team in Al Wusta Governorate seized five artisanal and coastal fishing vessels for non-compliance with the stipulated fishing distance, and failure to carry the licences of workers and the vessel."
"Necessary legal measures are being taken against them," it added.
