Expats arrested for human trafficking in Oman

Muscat: Two expats have been arrested by the Royal Oman Police (ROP) on charges of human trafficking.

"The Directorate General of Inquiries and Investigations arrested two Asians on charges of human trafficking. The infiltrators influenced domestic workers to discontinue jobs by falsely promising them with attractive salaries. After which the workers were extorted and forced into prostitution,” ROP said in a statement.
