15 student companies qualify for finals of Z-Corp sponsored Injaz Oman competition

Muscat: 15 student companies have qualified for the final stage of the ninth edition of the Injaz Oman Student Company Programme competition. The Zubair Corporation (Z-Corp) had recently signed a sponsorship agreement with Injaz Oman to support the ninth edition of the Student Company Programme.

The winners of the competition are expected to be announced in June 2021.
The qualified projects which have qualified for the final stage include Elligo, E-Med, Smart Socket, Palm Fuse, T2G, Repla, Resurrection, Paint Pulse, Inspirations, Bonn, DJ, Shanh, Affluence, Cordyamotv and Laja.

90 student companies participated in this edition of the programme. In all the numbers of students who participated in the competition from different governorates stood at 950.
The jury reviewed and evaluated the projects at the Injaz Oman Foundation official as well as via the Internet.

Khaula Al Harthy, CEO of Injaz Oman expressed her appreciation to the Zubair Corporation for the support it provided to Injaz Oman’s Student Company Programme.
She said, “We would like to congratulate the students whose projects have qualified to the final stage. The programme has achieved many goals that are consistent with the Sultanate’s efforts to support entrepreneurship in the Sultanate.

"The most important of which is enabling students to transform their ideas into innovative projects. The programme has helped them develop their leadership capabilities, trained them to manage cash flow, solve problems, make decisions, and provided the knowledge necessary to manage their projects.”

Said Al Sahib, Director of Zubair SEC, said, “As strategic partners Z-Corp and Injaz Oman organically complement the development process of young entrepreneurs moving from the academic stages into the real market scenario. As part of our social responsibility strategy, we are pleased to support national initiatives that support entrepreneurship like our social responsibility initiative Zubair Small Enterprises Centre (Zubair SEC) does.”

He pointed out that the Student Company Programme matches Z-Corp’s social responsibility strategy in advocating education, training, and encouraging entrepreneurs.
He added, “The Student Company Programme has identified many projects and pioneering ideas by students at colleges and universities in the Sultanate. We hope that these projects will be transformed into real companies which will contribute to the development of this country.”

Injaz Oman’s Student Company Programme aims to enable students of higher education institutions to establish real projects after receiving training from a group of qualified experts in the field of entrepreneurship during the period of their participation in the programme. The programme aims to provide real opportunities to prepare young people and motivate them to enter the job market with confidence.  

The sessions provided them with the knowledge and abilities to refine and develop their talents with the various skills needed to establish and manage their projects.
The company programme provides theoretical and practical experience to students participating in the company’s programme and builds their confidence and improves their skills. It also aims to educate young people about the importance of financial management and instils them the concept of trust.

Student Company Programme offers a unique learning experience for students, helping them to establish their own companies and engage in entrepreneurship. The programme offers a learning experience that enables and enhances many skills, which complement and enrich the students’ performance in their academics.
