Muscat: There are chances of isolated rain and occasional thundershowers associated with fresh wind and hail over Al Hajar Mountains, Oman Meteorology said on Sunday.
A statement issued online by Oman Meteorology said: "Mainly clear skies over most of the Sultanate with chance of cloud development and isolated rain, occasionally thundershowers associated with fresh wind and hail over Al Hajar Mountains towards afternoon. Chances of late night to early morning low level clouds or fog patches over governorates of South Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta and Dhofar and along the coastal areas of Oman Sea.
The expected maximum and minimum temperature will be 33 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees in Muscat Governorate, 31 degrees and 22 degrees in the wilayat of Sohar and 37 degrees and 24 degrees in the wilayat of Ibri , 35 degrees and 22 degrees in the wilayat of Nizwa and 35 degrees and 22 degrees in the wilayat of Rustaq. A fog and thundershower warning was also issued.
According to Oman News Agency (ONA), the highest temperature expected on Sunday is 37 degrees in the wilayats of Adam, Haima, Fahuad, Al Buraimi and Ibri and the lowest is 11 degrees in Jabal Shams.
